在英语里，因某事而感谢别人要说 thanks for something/doing something.

这里的 thanks 也可以换成 thank you，所以我们也可以说 thank you for something 或者 thank you for doing something.

谢谢收看的含义是谢谢你收看了我们的节目，因为你收看了所以我们谢谢你，强调的是收看，而不是你的收看，所以我们要说 thanks for watching 或 thank you for watching.

have someone to thank 是什么意思？

have someone to thank for something

归功于；由……负责；责怪

thank for 表示为……而感谢，但 I have you to thank for ……并不是每次都表示感激之情，也可以表示责备。

如果 for 后面说的是好事， I have you to thank for ……的意思是真是多亏你了，同义短语就是 owe something to someone.

如果for 后面讲的是坏事， I have you to thank for ……的意思就是这个事都怪你，责任都在你身上，同义短语就是 be to blame.

看完下面两个例句大家就明白了。

I have my wife to thank for my success,she always supports me unconditionally.

我的成功要感谢我的妻子，她一直无条件支持我。

You have Tom to thank for this car accident.

这句话其实是句反话，看上去像在说我要谢谢你这么做，真正的意思却是请你千万别做某事，我真是要被你气死了。

通俗点解释就是：

你要真这么做我不打你就不错了，难不成你还想我谢谢你？

Somebody will not thank you 某人会生气

used to say that somebody will not be pleased or will be annoyed about something

这句话的意思是说你要这么做，某人不仅不会谢谢你，还会大动肝火感谢观看的英文，老外常用这个表达来提醒别人不要好心办坏事。

I will thank you to mind your business.

我请你少管闲事。

谢谢你不只是 thank you

Thank you. That is very kind of you.
